The History

Galleria Karaija is located in the church village of Inkoo by the historic King's Road (56km/33miles west of Helsinki). The building itself is worth seing: a stone cowshed from the 19th century, originally part of the Parsonage, and sensitively restored in 1995 to an art gallery with atmosphere.

During the summers art exhibits at Galleria Karaija change continuously. Among the items for sale is valuable current Finnish art: etchings, color wood cuts, paintings, sculptures, raku and rensed art works.

Among the selection of gift items one finds at Galleria Karaija are only genuine Finnish handicraft items: ornaments, ceramics, works of wood, papier maché and textiles and hand made cards, candles...
